Early Midlife Crisis: Late 20s/Early 30s?

I am almost 28 years old working in the financial industry. I recently started going to college @ night and my company pays for it. I feel like these are good things about my job, but I just feel like the path I am headed down is no the one I want. I started working in an office enviroment when I was 19 with the exception of 4 months. So, basically it's all I know. It's been really hard for me to concentrate on school b/c I have just lost interest. It's hard for me to work in the industry I work b/c I am an Idealist. Making money and the bottom line just don't cut it for me anymore. I have recently started having sleep loss just thinking about my future.

I don't feel like I am the only one though with these type of problems. My parents generation would devote their life to a company in hopes of a good pension. Of course this has changed.

With all the uncetainies of the world's future do you think people are starting to have mid life crisis early in live?

Early Midlife Crisis: Late 20s/Early 30s?
Everyone I know has gone through a crisis about age 30. It's called "Is This All There Is?"

The crisis lasts about 2 years, and you may need anti-depressants, tranquillizers and therapy, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel, don't worry...
Reply:I think you are very right about worrying about your career and where its going. Dont do something foolish like quit your job just yet, though. Try exploring other options and career paths before you make a dramatic change.
Reply:Sounds like your education is opening your mind. IIt is possible that you are experiencing what in Astrology is known as 'Saturn Return'. That is when the Planet Saturn returns to were it was in your chart when you were born. This can bring about massive changes in a person life.

These days I doubt that many companies expect anyone to devote a lifetime to them.
