The hotel owner and mgmt already try so hard but they are still not 100% no vacancy all the time...sundays are exceptions b/c the whole humble/kingwood area is slow....
I'm just seeking suggestions....and I REALLY NEED THIS JOB...any ideas?
I just started this sales job at a hotel...how u increase business at a hotel that is spectacular already?
Right now isnt really travel season, also the economy is low. People aren't spending as much money as they used to. One way is more advertising. Also have promotions. Is it a chain hotel? If it's a corporate owned hotel there's not a whole lot you can do about getting more people in there like discounts and such. However when its just a single hotel, they could create a promotion such as stay friday and saturday night, stay sunday night free or such.
Reply:LOVE your customers. Keep good notes--preferences, special requests, birthdays, anniversaries, kids' names, etc. Meet every need before they ask. It's not impossible; when we used to have horses in Canada, my husband would show up at the hotel with a saddle. After the first time, there was a saddle rack in the room when he checked in, WITHOUT him asking for it.
Going forward, use the internet to stay in contact and reach them on a personal level. There's a great tool called Send Out Cards that allows you to customize cards and gifts and send them to your customers (or anyone else you want to stay in touch with).
If you're interested in setting up a gift account so you can see how the service works with no obligation, please reply to this message and I will help you build your business.
