What does this error message mean?.....?
Well, it could be a couple things. This sounds like something was deleted. What is the whole error line?
Also, what did you do prior to this? I've known of people who use Registry Cleaners, put it on high, delete everything that pops up, and then, the computer just basically stops working, doing almost what yours seems to be doing.
Try a system restore if you can get to it. If you cant, load windows in safe mode and try there. If that doesn't work, put in the windows CD. Hit the repair either when it first pops up, or after you hit the install button...I can't remember where it says it. It shouldn't delete anything, but instead it will fix the registry and system32 file.
Did you install something either Software or Hardware recently? If so, uninstall it. If something is bad or faulty, you may not know until a few days or weeks later when files start messing up.
If you have no anti spyware, adware, virus, trojan, etc. software, get some. If you have no firewall, Windows doesn't count, its more then likely you have mass spyware, hijackers, viruses, worms...etc. If this is the case, its easier to just redo windows.
If its a registry problem, redo windows, or, repair.
Reply:You probably need to do a fresh install of your OS, or use your recovery disks, I would backup all your data and reinstall, if that doesn't work it may be a bad processor or ram in your computer, you should try swapping ram sticks to see if that helps.
Reply:What windows are you using if its windows 2000 or windows me, Upgrade it.If You are using windows XP format your hard drive and reinstall.
Reply:Sounds like you have some serious spyware....Get Ad-aware from www.download.com....try running that and see if you have the same problem.
Reply:That's not good. That's not good at all, needless to say..You might have to take your computer to get it fixed, but a System32 file being corrupted or otherwise damaged is BAD...
