Why do muslims value life less than other religions?

now, i'm well aware that there are plenty of muslims that do not subscribe to terrorism and blowing themselves. no need to yell at me about that. but c'mon folks...with rare exception, there don't seem to be any other people out there with such a disregard for the core tenets of their religion as muslims. all religions teach caring to your fellow man, but muslims seem to have completely ignored that fact as they strap on bombs in iraq, israel, britain, and even the USA. i'm not some naive hick...i've done my share of travelling around the whole world in my 35+ years...and while i don't believe in stereotypes, there's only so many times i can see muslim neighborhoods that aren't cared for (regardless of income level), rude and obnoxious people, and, most importantly, a people who seem to enjoy depriving others (especially women) of basic human rights, especially the right to life. so go ahead...tell me what i'm missing.

Why do muslims value life less than other religions?
Muslims have very strong faith in afterlife.
Reply:this kind of stupid question is why we have war i think
Reply:I don't think so. Although I'm a Christian, but Christians like me live side by side with Muslims in Mindanao, Philippines. They are civilized, educated, and my personal friends, too.
Reply:generalisation is a bad thing to do.

when it comes to anything.

how do you know? do you know a muslim personally? i know a few and the stereotype and the media haven't hit upon it yet.

it's fundamentalism.

i find all faiths have them, it's sad but true.

all religions have their FREAKS and it ruins everything for those who don't do what the fundies do.

i know some muslims and they don't act like that nor believe those things.

what about those xtians who want to bring democracy to all worlds and blow up those who don't want it?
Reply:I think your views are out of step with reality and do sound hypocritical from where I'm standing.

America has courted its far share of controversy over the way it has treated woman and ethnic minorities in the recent past. Even now gay people are being discriminated against. They can't even get married. This is a violation of a fundamental and basic freedom which is strange coming from a country that regularly cites freedom as being an American way of life. Powerful Christian orgasations frequently stand in the way of scientific progress, I guess, partly because they threatened by the progress science has made in understanding this world we live in, making belief in the divine that much harder in the face of scientific evidence.

In Ireland, a significant proprotion of protestants and catholics are at war with each other and have been for years and years; and in Russia, jewish life is currently underthreat by Russia's large community of young, unemployed orthodox christian males. Discrimination exists in all religeons and in all communities.
Reply:Because they are more religious than Christians and Jews.

Read the Old Testament.
