Q:The central dogma in its original form as stated by Francis Crick, says that ‘DNA makes RNA makes Protein’. Which of the following is true?
a. It has been found to be true in all cases tested.
b. There are many exceptions to this rule.
c. Francis Crick was right.
d. Science works by following stated dogma without deviation.
e. More than one of the above is true.
What is true about eh coentral dogma of Franscis Crick?
For E to be true, then at least two of A, B, C, or D must be true.
A is false. There are cases where RNA makes DNA makes RNA and then protein. There are cases where DNA makes RNA and the end product is RNA.
B is true. There are always exceptions in biology.
C. is false because of A. There are exceptions to the central dogma.
D. I hope you understand why D is false.
E is false because only one of the above (B) is true.
