Tessa, Lauren or Haley?

My sisters about to have a baby!


shes stuck between those 3 names! I loved Tessa at first..and no its not going to be teresa..but thats my problem w/ it is I hate when people use nicknames as names but i feel like this is an exception b/c its cute!


Lauren is nice but kinda overused...


I suggested Haley to her! and i love it..but the last names starts w/ an H too..so it might sound weird..but then again cute!

Tessa and Lauren are strong, classic names...a name that will fit through all ages. I can't see an 80 year old named Haley.

Lauren and Tessa are both lovely, and strong.





If you're concerned about Lauren being too common, go for Tessa. Fashions about what constitutes a formal name change over time. While Tess is a pet name of Teresa, I think Tessa stands on its own quite well - just like Sadie is a pet form of Sara, but frequently bestowed as an independent name, too.





So stick with Tessa. It's sweet, but she can grow into it, too.

Reply:Well, I feel Tessa is becoming too common (I know 2, lol) and Haley is aften called other names like Heather and Hilary while Lauren can choose a few nicknames like Laurie, Rennie, or my favorite LaLa. How about Olivia?

Tessa is really cute to though! I know lots of Tessa's and none of them are Teresa's! It IS a really cute name!

Reply:"Tessa" makes me think of a fat girl because there was a girl at my school and everyone called her "Two Ton Tessa." Lauren is cute, but you are right, its overused. I really like Haley, I have a cousin named Haley, and I think its a cute name. To make it a little more original, she could spell it "Hayley" or "Hayleigh" or "Hailee" or "Hailey." But Haley (whatever variation) is the best choice out of those three.
