Reply:If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Reply:Don't go to astalavista unless you really know what you're clicking on - or you might end up getting shedloads of nasties downloaded on your pc.

If you're on xp have you tried system restore ? If that doesn't work I'd give the following a go...

Go to start menu -%26gt; run -%26gt; type msconfig and then check out what is running under the start-up tab. If there's anything that you don't recongnize or don't need running on start-up - disable it.

Then run disk clean up in accessories- system tools. Then run all your spyware progs and a virus check. Then reboot, defragment and reboot. See if that helps.

You can google anything in your start up list to find out if it's safe to disable. But I have disabled most of mine and pc is running fine.

Good luck.

PS

Turn off system restore before running disk cleanup and spyware progs. Then reboot and then turn system restore back on.
