Credit help! I am trying to raise my credit score but...............?

Just need some answers... I have a few old charge-off accounts on my credit report. Two to be exact-Visa, and Macy's. I have since paid the debt to the collection agency-It's been a year and a half, and didn't think to make sure the bad debt was taken off of my credit report. A week ago I disputed the debt online b/c it's showing up negatively on my report though it has been paid. I hear it takes 30 days for this item to be removed... My question is, will the credit bureau's actually remove the item from my report if there has been no response? I know that if I contact these companies they won't give me the time of day....

One more question!

I bought a car for 15,000. My loan is now down to 5,000. I have made all payments on time with the exception of 3. This loan is showing negatively on my credit report. is there anything I can do? i don't want to dispute b/c this information is true. Can i ask that the negative marks be removed by wells fargo?

THANKS!!!

re: your credit report dispute - stay on top of the credit reporting agency that you filed your dispute with. They should remove it if no response is made by your creditors.

re: your car loan - you can always ask WF for some leniency but, traditionally, they won't file anything with the credit reporting agency even if they remove it from your account. You CAN, however, file an explanation of the late charges with the credit reporting agency who will keep the explanations on file and submit to anyone who asks about your deliquency in the future.

no, the collection agencies probably won't remove the negative marks. If it is showing as "unpaid" then you can contact them with your proof of payment and ask that they fix it. However, if it is showing as paid but that it was overdue when it was paid, then there is nothing you can do. You were late, and that's what happens.

No, Wells Fargo probably won't remove your late payment marks, again, because you WERE late. You might still owe some late payment fees - check on that and it might help. Otherwise, the marks are there to stay.

To raise your credit score - quit making late payments, and begin establishing a good credit history. Get a card that you put a little bit on every month and then immediately pay off. Credit is not difficult to repair, but it does take time.
Reply:To find out specifically what you must do to raise your score, you can order your score report from all three national credit bureaus. In addition to your score%26lt;!--you'll get your credit report, an indication of how your score ranks nationally and an explanation of how you can boost your standing.

In order to improve your credit score, it's important to know where you stand currently. Despite all the media attention given to free credit reports--%26gt;you still have to pay to find out your credit score, the three-digit number ranging from 300 to 850 that is the key to your borrowing costs.
Reply:The Credit Score (also known as your MyFico score) is calculated with the following breakdown:

* 35% - Payment History

* 30% - Credit to Debt Ratio

* 15% - Credit History

* 10% - New Credit

* 10% - Credit Types in Use

A small loan consolidation with low interest is the best I found interesting information about your answer %26amp; options here. Goodhttp://all-debt-consolidation-loan.blogs... luck!
