The Sims isn't working, it keeps crashing on the loading screen?

i have the "open for buisness" expansion pack, i don't have the disk, i lost it and rather than getting another one i got a no disk patch as it was already installed on my pc.

its worked great up until now, i downloaded some custom content onto it (I've done this thousands of times and never had any trouble) and when i went to play it it just crashed, it got stuck on "preparing bacon for homeward transportation" this is where its crashed every time since.

i had a look at the log, it says:

Exception time: 07/29/2007, at 16:26:02.

You definately have some kind of corrupted installation. You can try rolling back your recent changes, but you're much better off obtaining a CD and reinstalling it.
Reply:This same thing happened to me . And I installed custom content too and it crashed on the same place ..

Maybe you downloaded something what was for other expansion pack and it crashed your game ? Report It

Reply:yes...try real life.
Reply:maybe the main problem is your random access memory. there is usually occuring problems when the virtual memory is too low, try to adjust your virtual memory from minimum 800 to maximum size of 1500mb. of total paging size.
