Is or has there been anyone better than Candace Parker?

Here is the deal, I have been a huge women's b-ball fan(back in Cheryl's(the real Miller) day) even before I started coaching(about 10 years ago), there are several players you have to think about when you say the best. Cheryl M., Tina T., Holdsclaw, Swoopes, Katie(the all time leading scorer in professional womens basketball, go buckeyes) Smith, Staley, and we could go on. Here is my point, all those players are the best at what they do but C.P. is right behind all of them in their respective areas, with the exception of Smith she doesn't have that kind of range from outside yet(give her time). She can do everything else very well. Rebound, who is better, block shots, who is better, post up, who is better, slash to the lane, who is better, and she can run the point. She has the potential to be a Magic(the best human ever to touch a basketball) of women's basketball.

If you are talking about UT women, there has been several. Dedrea Charles, Dena Head, Bridget Gordan, Chamique Holdsclaw, Tamika Catchings, Kara Lawson, and Candace Parker.
Reply:she's no Xavier McDaniel
Reply:KOBE , Jordan , Vince Carter ---- should I go on .........
Reply:There are 2 players in my mind that changed women's basketball at their respective times during their college careers. The first is Chamique Holdsclaw. People had never seen the moves and agility that she brought to the women's game. The second one would be Diana Turasi from UCONN. She to changed the way I watched a women's game. I think by the end of Candice's college career that she will be known as the greatest women's player ever, if she hangs around for all 4 years of eligibility. At this point in her career I believe she is the best women's athlete ever in any sport.

I too have followed Women's College BBall, and I would have to say that Candace Parker is a great college player, and she would land in my All Time Top Five Women Players. And they are:

1. Cheryl Miller, USC (The G.O.A.T.)

2. Cynthia Cooper, USC

3. Sheryl Swoops, Texas Tech

4. Chamique Holdsclaw, Tennessee

5. Candace Parker, Tennessee

Honorable Mention:

Diana Tarausi, UConn
